NINE x FIVES, 2024
Pinned wall installation at Pattern Recognition exhibition, Canberra Contemporary Art Space Lakeside. Presented as part of Regenerate, the 2024 Craft + Design Canberra Festival.
Nine panels. raw linen hemmed squares. Scoured, then mordanted with Gallnut followed by Alum P. Sulphate and Soda Ash. Botanical dyes and pigments distilled from extracts and dried plant matter. Madder cordifolia, Indigo, Cochineal, Lac, Weld, Fustic, Buckthorn. Binder: Guar gum.
