MORPHIC, 1997
Finding a compatible working relationship with fusing colours on glass panels encouraged me to explore paint media in new combinations, sometimes with unpredictable results, but always connected with the systematic colour/structural history that has supported my experiments over time.
In Sydney, I had moved from a city warehouse to a bare wooden house surrounded by indigenous vegetation. Exploring new ways to embed colour onto canvas, curiosity paid off as I watched the liquid colours spread and dry, visibly morphing within a geometric framework. I was pleased to see organic qualities appear as each painting dried.
