WATER/COLOUR SERIES, 2005
Working with receptive Chinese papers effects a kind of delicate balance when combined with watercolour. Dilute colours appear darker when wet, becoming lighter as water content evaporates. Fresh cross-mixes and bleeds that could add nuance, fade into obscurity, or the addition of one more layer of colour and lightness retreats.
